Other supplies may be needed throughout the school year as well as replenishment of those listed above. Summer To-Do List: Reading-Recite the letters and sounds of the alphabet frequently. Practice sounding out words. Read independently for 20-30 minutes a day then discuss what happened at the beginning, middle, and end each story. Read and recite sight words (pre-K, first grade word) Language/Writing-Practicing writing first and last name legibly, capitalizing correct letters. Practice appropriately sized neat legible handwriting on notebook paper. Practice writing neat paragraphs about any topic (5 sentences or more please).
