Celebrating Sporting Success: Flag Football Upset, Track Triumphs, and Musical Mastery!

As we approach the end of the school year, let's take a moment to celebrate some incredible achievements in our sports community!

Huge congratulations to our Flag Football team for their thrilling upset victory over George County last Thursday! This week, they hit the road to Picayune High School to conclude their regular season, taking on Oak Grove at 5 PM on the main field. They are competing for the district title and have already secured a spot in the playoff tournament, with seeding in the competitive Black Division still to be determined.

A big shoutout goes to our track teams for their stellar performances at the 3A South State Track Meet. With multiple qualifiers, both our girls and boys teams are set to compete in the 1A/3A State Track Championships next Monday, May 5th, starting at 11 AM at Pearl High School.

Kudos to Dr. Frye and the South Pike Eagle Marching Band for a successful Battle of the Bands event this weekend. It's quickly becoming a fan favorite, showcasing our ability to host large events and bring fresh ideas to our community.

Remember, the athletic banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, at 6 PM at the Pike County Safe Room. This exclusive event is for our high school student-athletes and select family members. Tickets are available online or at school with me for $10. We will have two teachers verifying tickets at the door this year.

Let's continue to support our teams and celebrate their hard work and dedication!
