South Pike coaches participated in the Mississippi Association of Coaches All-Sports Clinic July 11 - July 14 in Flowood, Mississippi. Coaches spent the 4 days learning from state and national-level coaches. Our own Coach Tyrone Varnado presented a session on Powerlifting culture and was also honored as the MAC Boys Powerlifting Coach of the Year. Also, our athletic director, Coach Luther McCray was voted in as the District 7 3A/4A representative and will serve the next two years on the MAC Board of Directors. We appreciate our coaches working hard to better their skills and look forward to a great athletic year at 205!
