This course develops competencies related to the production of plants for food, fiber, ornamental, and other purposes.  It includes instruction in the basic principles of plant science as well as cultural practices and the use of technology to efficiently and effectively meet consumer needs.  Plant growing structures, plant classification, growth, propagation, culture, pests, harvesting, and marketing are included.  (Prerequisite:  Concepts of Agriscience Technology; Grades 10-12; 1 unit)
