Congratulations to the following Future Business Leaders of America students who recently won 1st place at State FBLA Competition in Jackson, MS:  Kimberlyn Alford and Brandon Plaisance (Business Presentation) and Rachel Hodges, Shanel James, and Kolisa McDaniel (Emerging Business Issues).  Rashanda Tate placed 6th in  Public Speaking.  Also attending the conference were Delarrous Brock, Felishia Robinson, and Takeisha Stallings, and Roger Tate. First place winners are planning to compete at the National Conference in Nashville, TN July 14-18, 2010.

 

SOUTH PIKE CAREER & TECHNICAL CENTER PHILOSOPHY

South Pike Career & Technical Center

Course Offerings

 

All *courses are two-year completion courses, and students who enroll are both encouraged and expected to complete both years of the class.  All *courses are taught in two-hour blocks and receive two Carnegie Units.  *Agriscience classes and STEM classes are 1 unit/1 semester courses.

 

NOTE:  A STUDENT MUST BE 15 YEARS OLD TO ENROLL IN A 2 HOUR BLOCK CAREER & TECHNICAL CENTER COURSE AND MUST BE IN THE 10TH GRADE.


The South Pike Career and Technical center is a secondary vocational-technical center serving the students enrolled in the South Pike School District.  The South Pike Career and Technical Center is an extension of South Pike High School and works cooperatively with the school to prepare students for their futures.  Courses offered at the Career and Technical Center include: Business Management Technology, Early Childhood Services, Health Science, Manufacturing Trades, Construction Trades, and Agricultural-Science Technology.  South Pike Career & Technical Center does not discriminate against otherwise qualified students on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or handicap in the admission of students to career & technical programs.
