The major purpose of this course is to orient students to various occupations in the health care field.  Emphasis is placed on skills needed by assistants in the wide range of jobs available in the medical field.  Along with nursing skills, students are taught medical technology, anatomy and physiology.  To enter, students should have an overall "C" average and should have taken 2 sciences and should be enrolled in Advanced Biology or Chemistry, and have an interest in the medical field.
