MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the South Pike School District is to provide equal educational opportunity and excellence in learning for all students. To accomplish this mission, the faculty and staff believe that all children can learn. It places emphasis on quality instruction and pupil achievement. 

The district is committed to assisting each student to develop his/her fullest potential through academic, physical, emotional, and moral growth. The district is committed to providing a positive school climate. The district believes that the climate must be conducive to learning. The district is committed to providing the educational resources to prepare students to lead a useful, productive, creative, and rewarding life that is best fitted for a democratic society. It strives to provide resources and opportunities for students to develop in all areas of school life. Through development of the above qualities, students will become efficient and effective members of society. 

In-service training is the result of planned professional development programs. These programs are being used to enhance instruction. The faculty and staff will take an active part in these professional development activities to make sure that they maintain their level of expertise in education. 

The school system's duty is to guide, encourage, and stimulate students in acquiring knowledge and formulating patterns of living so that he/she can become productive citizens of the community, state, and nation. The school system will provide a flexible curriculum that will meet individual needs. The curriculum will provide programs designed for both college-bound students as well as those who will enter the labor market.
