Established in 1962, Eva Gordon Attendance Center educated first through twelfth graders. In 1972, it was changed to house first through sixth graders. Undergoing a change once again in 2001, Eva Gordon came to its present state of being kindergarten through third grade. Eva Gordon is made up of students from rural Pike County, Mississippi. The majority of the students come from poverty level families. Eva Gordon Elementary presently has approximately 450 students enrolled. Approximately 88% of the student population is African American while 12% is white.
